Consider in UK farmers, endemic in the Mediterranean, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, South America, Iceland and part of Africa.
Can be asymptomatic, right upper quadrant pain
Imaging: Ultrasound Abdomen may show hepatic cysts
Microbiology: Hydatid serology positive
Conservative: No treatment if asymptomatic
Surgical: Incision and Drainage
Prognosis is generally good with surgical input
